Scosche developed this for Rugged Radios to offer durable and secure antenna mounting options when there aren't many. This requires a non-ground-plane (NGP) antenna such as Rugged Radios VHF-1/2W-SPR or the POINT5 and Rugged Radios NMO-MT-15, a popular NMO Cable Mount option with 15 feet of cable.
